More information regarding our billing policies

Dear Patient, 

At the request of your surgeon, Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IOM) services will be provided during your surgery via Elite Neuromonitoring and our contracted online reading physician. IOM is a service that surgeons utilize to reduce the risk of damage to the patient's nervous system and provide functional guidance to the surgical team and anesthesiologist throughout surgery. In some rare instances a 3rd party reading physician may be used. Only in this instance could you potentially receive a bill from this 3rd party. This potential bill would ONLY be for those services provided by the 3rd party reading physician, NOT Elite Neuromonitoring.  

Elite Neuromonitoring does not participate and is out of network with all insurance plans. You will receive documents regarding these services from your insurance company, including an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). An EOB is not a bill. If documentation of ANY kind is received regarding our services, please fax them to 845-477-5919. These will be addressed immediately if action is required.  

Depending on your insurance, you may personally receive a check as reimbursement for the services that will be provided by Elite Neuromonitoring. This typically only occurs with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans. If this occurs, please make the check payable to Elite Neuromonitoring and forward the check and all documentation to the following address:

If funds are not forwarded, you will receive a bill.
